CAMA Pulls Poll on General Aviation Pilot Protection Act

The Civil Aviation Medical Association (CAMA) has apparently decided to discontinue the poll regarding the General Aviation Pilot Protection Act (GAPPA) and the poll suddenly “disappeared” from their website. However, we were able to document the last appearance of the poll, with the following results:

634 votes total
95.7% voted in support of the relaxed third class medical
3.9% voted against relaxing the rules 
.3% were unsure

Given that CAMA was strongly against the GAPPA it is no big surprise that it was easier for them to get rid of the poll rather than have a poll which goes against their policy.
